At the heart of a former stronghold of the Templars of the 11th century, in Sainte Colombe de la Commanderie, a small authentic village of 80 inhabitants, is the Château Mossé wine estate producing great natural sweet wines. Indeed, after the First World War, Georges Mossé did not sell the wines of the castle in order to prevent a shortage. This period of non-marketing has therefore allowed current generations to find intact wines, carefully preserved in oak barrels in the cellars. Since then, the descendants of Georges Mossé have perpetuated the tradition of wine since the creation of the estate in 1884. The total area of the vineyard is 50 hectares, of which 12 hectares are for reds and 38 for whites. This area extends over the foothills of the Aspres chain, a sector recently given the Villages en rouge designation. Colourful, dense and generous, sometimes with accents of rusticity, the wines produced are appreciated after aging for two to six years. Discover this magnificent estate all year long!
